With a blend of Michael-esk pop vibes and an untamed rock edge, Bobby John is a classically trained versatile vocalist and award winning, hook driven singer / songwriter / topliner.

 

Published by one of the largest independent music publishers in Canada, Bloc Notes Music, he’s travelled across Paris, Nashville, England, Japan and Canada writing songs for his solo project and major label artists represented by Warner, Universal, Sony, Productions J and more.

 

As a songwriter, Bobby John has co-written “Watch Out”, featured on the #1 Album in Japan “Magic” by EXO-CBX, “Shine”, the official Canadian Paralympics Theme for Tokyo 2020, “I’m Listening” featured on the popular Japanese TV Drama “Promise Cinderella (which he performs as vocalist as well), and “Together We Are One”, the official Anthem for the Pan Am games, performed by Serena Ryder. This song awarded Bobby John with his first #1 SOCAN Award for topping the CBC Radio Charts in Canada.

Other co-writes include “Sortir de l’ombre”, performed by Olivier Dion, which reached the #1 spot for over 4 weeks on Radio Charts in Quebec, "Lonely Tonight" and "All For You" for La Voix finalist, Travis Cormier`s debut album, "Dollars and Hearts", produced by the legendary Bob Rock, a Quebec Top 20 radio single, "Level Up", with Josh Alexandre, and numerous songs for other Star Academie and La Voix artists such as Yvan Pedneault, Michaël, Maxime Proulx, Joannie Benoit, Margau, Simon Morin and more.

As a performer, his party rock background includes opening for acts such as Bon Jovi, Sick Puppies, The Trews, Bobby Bazini and more. In 2015, he began his singer/songwriter solo career with his first single, “Strong”, awarding him with a “Success Correspondants” (Palmarès ADISQ) reaching #1 on various radio stations across the province. His follow up single, “Somebody Else” reached #5 on the Top 10 Radio Anglo Correspondants (Palmarès ADISQ) for five weeks in a row along with numerous #1 radio positions.

His recent release, “Crazy Beautiful”, was performed as an English/French duet alongside Acadia's sweetheart Joannie Benoit and hit #1 positions on various Quebec radios and is currently in rotation on Sirius XM.

 

During the pandemic, his focus shifted to numerous new international collaborations with DJ’s, with over 30 commercially released songs as a featured vocalist between 2020-2021 including “Love Story” and “I’m Listening” featured in the popular Japanese TV drama “Promise Cinderella”.

Bobby John is currently writing and toplining for international producers and artists across Canada, the US, Europe and Japan while in studio working on his upcoming solo artist releases and many more featured vocalist releases scheduled for later this year.
